Earlier I submitted my review 'Interesting Concept' shortly after receiving the device and was not particularly glowing about it however, after quite a bit more practice I have found the easier way to operate it. I find first that although the threaded spindles have to move freely though the guide ring, they do need to be reasonably tight otherwise the arms fall all over the place. Start with it fully closed. Once the 4 arms are inside, move them outwards one by one a little at a time by inserting fingers as well and pushing out. Tighten the nuts up as you go. This can be repeated until the maximum stretch is achieved. I have found it necessary to push the unit in to its full depth at all times otherwise it has a tendency to pop out. It does have a great affect and everyone I have tried it on is astounded by the result. I also find that the threads need to be oiled after washing.
Consider how deep your hole really is - Distance B
I bought both the XL and the XXL not knowing exactly which might fit best. I found for me, that neither work as advertised. The neck length from the base to the lower end of the inserted piece XXL Distance B in the sizing section, is 1.5 inches. I found that if all the inserted piece is actually inside, the base is starting to enter my hole. It could not be left alone, as it was likely that the base was going to get sucked in !!! Again for me, i would say that the neck (Distance B) needs to be around another 1 inch longer. That way, the PLUG inserted piece is definitely all inside, and that base is not trying to also get inside !! If you design and build any plugs more to this sizing, i would happily test it out and even model it for you !!
