I received both items after a month and the quality made it worth it. The steel part of the gag was big, relatively heavy and shiny. I've found two tiny marks as small as the tip of a needle on the surface but I couldn't care less. The strap was not shiny at all, on the thinner side and very sturdy. Unfortunately as a newbie, I overestimated how much my mouth can open up which sucks (pun intended) and I confused the inner diameter with the outer.
