I figured out how it works. You basically have to take it apart and put it back together yourself. It comes sorta upside down, but it's simple once you fix it. Take the bottom stand off along with the little nut. Then take the clear cross bar off (with clamps off) and flip it right way up before you put that back on. It'll take a lot of spinning. Then, when it's rigged properly, slide the little nut back on just enough to stick into the stand. I'm talking, only a few centimeters. It works best when it's not screwed into the stand, so you have to keep pulling and sliding the nut down (you'll get the hang of it as you play). After about an inch left before the ball handle thing, I just couldn't take it anymore :)
